The USCCA (United States Concealed Carry Association) is having its “2023 USCCA Concealed Carry & Home Defense Expo” in Milwaukee this weekend.
It’s a Second Amendment consumer show dedicated to responsible gun owners. It starts Friday and goes through Sunday at the Wisconsin Center.
There are a variety of classes to choose from, including:
- Handgun Protection & Retention: Keeping Your Firearm in YOUR Control
- Women’s Introduction To Handguns
- The Use of Force and the Aftermath
I look forward to sitting in on “Gun-Control Myths” and “Debunking Gun-Control Lies” by John Lott Jr. He has done a lot of research into gun rights and often brings a unique perspective to the topic.
Tim Schmidt, Founder and Chairman of the USCCA said:
“This year’s Expo will feature a can’t-miss policy panel discussion featuring Colion Noir, Braden Langley, Shermichael Singleton, and the USCCA’s very own Katie Pointer Baney to talk about how our community can get more involved in confronting the many threats facing our right to self-defense.”
This will give you an opportunity to speak directly with some people who are fighting for your Second Amendment rights. There will be a lot of groups there, like A Girl and a Gun, The DC Project, Gun Owners of America (GOA), ISRA, and the National Association for Gun Rights.
The top question I have seen so far is: Can I carry my firearm at the Expo?
[Concealed Carry Expo Firearms Policy] Defensive sidearms are welcome inside this show. All state laws will apply, and all guests must abide by the following rules:
Your personal defensive sidearm WILL REMAIN HOLSTERED at all times unless you are reacting to an imminent deadly threat. In the unlikely event you need to use your firearm in defense of life, remember the rules: Target Acquisition, Target Identification, and Target Isolation.
You are specifically prohibited from drawing your firearm to check holster fit, “show” the gun to anyone, or otherwise conduct ANY administrative handling of your defensive firearm. This includes, but is not limited to loading, unloading, clearing, cleaning, or any other activity that does not involve reaction to an imminent deadly threat.
The main hall will host manufacturers like Glock, SIG SAUER, Beretta, and Viktos, and visitors can also access the on-site live-fire gun range. The event’s official website, usccaexpo.com, has all the details about the Expo, including the schedule, exhibitors, and other information.
