Concealed Carrier Charged After Firing Her Gun Into Air Outside Gizmo Fun Factory

Police arrested four people and charged one, 24-year-old Kinara Allmon, after firing her firearm into the air during a domestic incident outside Gizmo Fun Factory in Orland Park.

The Illinois woman was seen holding a gun as a man walked towards her trying to disarm her. The struggle for the weapon caused the discharge, and the man was able to take the gun before police arrived and arrested them both.

The incident stemmed from an argument during a child’s birthday party at the Gizmo Fun Factory. Other violent incidents in recent months have occurred at/around the same location.

“Our local businesses shouldn’t be attacked because of actions they have no control over,” said Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau via Patch.com.

Allmon, who has a valid CCW license and FOID card, faces one charge of aggravated discharge of a firearm. She attended court and was released on a $10,000 bond.

Why the firearm was in sight during this incident is highly questionable. How out of hand did this issue get at a children’s party for a gun to be drawn? With carrying a weapon comes the discipline to draw it when only a plausible threat is present.

Thankfully no one was struck, but at the same time, a negligent discharge occurred, and one can only hope nobody or anything was accidentally struck wherever the projectile could have landed.
