Concealed Carrier Shoots, Kills Robbery Suspect After Being Shot in the Arm

Here is one example of why drawing from the drop can be extremely dangerous. And if you don’t know what that means, it means drawing your gun with a gun already drawn on you. And while the suspect was killed, the victim was also critically injured.

This past Tuesday, a Washington man was walking out of his business just after 9 PM. Another man jumped out of a vehicle and attempted to rob the man, holding him at gunpoint. The victim drew his own concealed carry gun and fired at the suspect. The two exchanged gunfire, and both men were hit.

The suspect was dead on arrival when police got to the scene. They found the critically injured victim after being shot in the arm. Some news reports stated that the victim was shot while drawing his gun but was still able to get hits on the suspect, stopping the threat.

And this is why drawing from the drop is so dangerous. No matter how fast your draw is, it will never be faster than someone just pulling the trigger.
