Concealed Carrier Puts Pizza Down; Shoots Armed Robber Dead

An armed robber got more than he bargained for when he walked into a pizza restaurant in Georgia in an attempt to get off with some quick cash.

This past Friday, shortly before 10 PM, a concealed carrier was enjoying his pizza from MOD Pizza in DeKalb County, GA. Another man, later identified as 24-year-old Ontario Davis, walked into the restaurant armed with a handgun and demanded money.

The concealed carrier told police:

he was sitting in the pizza joint when Davis, who was wearing a mask and holding a pistol, told everyone inside to get on the ground, the report said. Davis turned his back on the customer and told employees, “One of y’all get up and get the money out of the register.” via THE ATLANTIC JOURANAL-CONSTITUTION

That’s when the good Samaritan drew his concealed carry gun and told the suspect to drop his gun. The suspect did not comply, turned, and shot at the concealed carrier. The two exchanged gunfire until the suspect dropped to the ground.

He was able to get out of the restaurant, and the police found him across the street. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

The police have also said that the good Samaritan will not be charged for shooting the would-be robber.
