A Las Vegas man’s dogs alerted him to what wound up being four men wearing hoodies and masks breaking into his home. Even though he was outnumbered, he was able to turn the tables on the intruders.

Around 7:30 PM, a man was in his bedroom when his dogs started to growl. He checked his security cameras, and that’s when he saw four men attempting to break into his home. He went to his closet, got dressed, and grabbed his gun.

As the burglars gained access to the house, the homeowner walked into a balcony area, which opens to the floor below, shooting at three of the suspects five times, the report said.

One round hit one of the suspects. All four suspects then ran from the home, police said.

Police found an abandoned car which they tracked to a woman with the same last name as a man who checked into a hospital with a gunshot wound. After reviewing surveillance footage, they identified him as one of the suspects, and he was charged with home invasion, burglary, and conspiracy to commit burglary.

This homeowner was definitely prepared as he had multiple levels of security in place, from the dogs to security cameras to ultimately his gun which he used to defend his life.
