Shots were fired outside of a Family Dollar in Miami-Dade, Florida, yesterday after an employee was fired and came back with her boyfriend and friend, who both were armed.
A 20-year-old woman was fired from her job at Family Dollar for being rude to a customer. She must not have agreed with the decision as she left and returned to the store with her boyfriend and a friend.
They confronted the manager of the store, who fired her. The two men attacked the manager, and at some point, the armed suspect pointed a gun at the manager. The manager’s wife witnessed this and tried to scare the suspects off with her car. It seems she wound up hitting her husband instead. But one of the suspects shot at her, so she shot back.
One suspect and the 20-year-old woman fled the scene, but her boyfriend stayed fighting with the store manager. Once the store manager was able to disarm him, the suspect ran off as well.
The suspect told the police that the store manager confronted and threatened them, but surveillance footage shows another story. It shows that both men approached the manager and had a “clear and deliberate intent to pursue a confrontation” with him.
