Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. That’s pretty much all I have to say about this one.
Early Wednesday morning, an Alabama homeowner had to deal with someone attempting to break into his house. WSFA reports that the intruder tried several entry points, including through his kid’s bedroom window.
That’s when the homeowner fired on his hitting the suspect in the head. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
We don’t have a whole lot of details other than that. We talk about staying in your home, not leaving your home to investigate what is going on, and not shooting through doors. It sounds like the homeowner armed himself and was prepared if the suspect actually gained access to his home.
And climbing through his kid’s window the last draw. We don’t know if there was a child in the room at the time or not. I just hope the homeowner was able to get the kid out of the room before the shots were fired, so they didn’t have to witness that.
But thankfully, the homeowner was able to defend himself and his family. It sounds like the suspect was determined to get into the house, so who knows what he had planned or what the outcome would have been.
