Man Breaks Down Ex’s Door with Sledgehammer, Opening Fire…Gets Shot Twice by New Boyfriend

BATON ROUGE, LA – A man is in jail after thinking it was a good idea to break into his ex-girlfriend’s house and then open fire on her, her child, and her new boyfriend, who was also armed.

Around 9 AM yesterday morning, a man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home through the front door with a sledgehammer, as reported by WBRZ. He was also armed, and once he gained access to the home, he opened fire on his ex-girlfriend, her 3-year-old child, and her current boyfriend.

Thankfully, the new boyfriend was also armed and shot the ex-boyfriend twice. After the police arrived, the wounded ex-boyfriend was taken to the hospital and then booked in jail with three counts of attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

There were no reports of the victims being injured.

When someone is determined, as the ex-boyfriend was in this incident, the best way to stop an armed threat is with a gun. It’s a good thing the new boyfriend was armed and prepared to defend himself, his girlfriend, and her child, or this could have been a news report about a triple homicide.
