3 on 1 is not the best odds, but this armed citizen came out on top after three men attempted to rob him.
A man returned to his residence at a San Antonio, TX apartment complex last Friday morning around 3:30 AM. He noticed a white Prius circling the parking lot. He was legally armed, and when he got out of his car, three armed men pointed guns at him and demanded he give them his possessions.
He said, “That’s not happening,” and drew his handgun and fired at the suspects. One suspect was hit in the neck and later died at the hospital. Another suspect fled on foot, and the other got into the car and drove off.
The victim was unharmed and will not be charged as this was a clear case of self-defense.
Good for this man to be situationally aware and notice the vehicle circling the parking lot. We say this time and time again, but going to and from your car is considered a transitional space where a lot of people aren’t paying attention to their surroundings. I urge you to read the article below about having proactive awareness in transitional spaces.
