Concealed Carrier Shoots 1 of 2 Rottweilers Stopping Attack on Female Jogger

A concealed carrier had to use his gun to stop a dog attack after two rottweilers ran down and attacked a female jogger that was running by.

Running is a great way to get exercise and cheap. But do you run with your gun or another self-defense tool on you? If you don’t, this should be a good reminder of why you should.

Earlier this week, a woman in St. Charles, IL, was out for a jog around 9:15 AM when a Labberdoodle got out of its yard to “greet her in the street.” Soon after, two rottweilers came running out of the same house and attacked the woman jogger.

The homeowner was in her garage and saw the attack take place. She and another passerby ran to help the woman, trying to pull the dogs off her with no luck. Luckily, the passerby had an Illinois Concealed Carry Permit, drew his gun, and fired one shot into one of the dogs.

Both dogs released the victim, and the one that was shot died. There are no reports on the injuries the woman sustained.

As I said, this is a perfect example of why you should always carry, even if you are heading out for a run. There are ways to carry a gun comfortably while running. I use the Phlster Enigma, and it works great for carrying while running or exercising. Or at the least, carry pepper spray. This possibly could have helped deter the dog attack.
