Dog Named ‘Bullet’ Gives Clerk Time to Draw and Fire at 2 Armed Robbers

A Philadelphia, PA store clerk is recovering from gunshot wounds after an attempted armed robbery early this morning. The store owner is crediting his dog named “Bullet” for saving their life.

A smoke shop/convenience store owner and his clerk were working early this morning. Around 4 AM, two armed men came into the store in an attempt to rob the place. A clip from the surveillance footage below shows the first armed suspect coming in and pointing his gun at the clerk.

The owner’s dog, Bullet, then jumps on the armed suspect, which causes him to lower his gun. This gave the clerk just enough time to draw her gun and fire at the armed suspect. Another armed suspect came into the store at about the same time, and a gunfight ensues.

The clerk was shot four times and was brought to the hospital in critical condition. But according to the store owner, she will make a full recovery. He believes if his dog hadn’t given his clerk a window of opportunity to draw her gun and fire at the suspect, then they would both be dead.

“If he didn’t move the guy and cover him, he would shoot the girl before she shoots him,” Aloubehi said. “He did help. … He saved my life and her life.”
