Listen to this 911 Call | No One Came To Save Him, Luckily He Was Armed

I saw this video posted on a Facebook Group today. The incident occurred in 2019, but I hadn’t heard it before. And maybe you haven’t either. But this is a perfect example of the saying, “No one is coming to save you.”

A Washington man woke to the sound of glass breaking around 2:40 AM on a Monday. He armed himself and called 911. The whole 12-minute call can be heard in the video. You can hear that the caller is scared and trying to hide from them while you can hear crashing and banging in the background.

About 3 minutes into the call, the man goes silent while the 911 operator asks him questions. All of a sudden multiple shots ring out. This was the homeowner shooting at one of the intruders that entered the room he was in. The suspect can be heard dying, and the operator didn’t know if that was the homeowner or one of the intruders.

The homeowner got back on the phone and told her that “he had to shoot him,” that he was hiding in his bedroom closet, and that more people were in the house. At this point, it is six minutes into the call, and he asks the operator to hurry. He doesn’t see law enforcement for another six minutes.

Luckily, this homeowner was armed, and he seemed to do everything right. He heard someone breaking into his house. He armed himself, stayed in his bedroom, and called the police. Notice that he didn’t go investigating. Who knows if he would have walked into two or more intruders. And only when one of them came into his room did he shoot. And according to a news report, the intruder died at the scene. The other suspect was not found.

This video might be a little graphic for some people. And this is by no means a dig at law enforcement. But it is a lesson for all of us that the police may not get there in time to “save you.” The only person that can save you is yourself.
