Nashville Man Fatally Shoots Armed Robber After Being Pistol-Whipped

NASHVILLE, TN – One man is dead after a self-defense shooting that took place at a Nashville gas station this past Sunday evening.

Around 11 PM, a 34-year-old man exited the store when another man, 42, approached him in an attempt to rob him. The suspect was armed with a handgun, pointed the gun at the victim’s head, demanded money, and then pistol-whipped him.

The victim was also armed and ran back inside the store after being attacked. As the suspect followed him inside the store, the victim drew a handgun and fired at the suspect, hitting him multiple times.

The wounded suspect was transported to the hospital, where he later died. After reviewing security footage, the police confirmed the victim’s account.

The security footage hasn’t been released, but it would be interesting to see how the victim was carrying. Was he unable to access his gun as he was being attacked, or did he just run into the store to buy himself some time to draw his gun? Either way, good for him for getting ‘off the X’ and putting rounds on target.
