A slew of new gun laws will be going into effect on September 1, 2022, in New York. Yesterday we reported on one police department stating they would not enforce some of them.
One of the new laws will restrict gun owners from carrying concealed in businesses unless the business has a sign that allows concealed carry. So one New York gun group is going around handing out signs for the businesses to put up. And some of them are welcoming it.
Tzvi Waldman, the of New York State Jewish Gun Club, has been printing and handing out the signs that state:
Notice to All Customers
Concealed Cary is Welcome Here
Thank you for keeping our children safe.
May Hashem continue to watch over us.
The manager is pizza shop Slice n’ Spice that posted the sign was interviewed by local media and stated:
“… Protect ourselves, our family, and our friends from anything that should happen in case something does go wrong. It’s pretty much like having a fire extinguisher which you should never have to use it, but in case we do have to use it, we have it available to us.
So far, dozens of businesses have posted or are waiting to post the signs. We can only hope we see more and more businesses posting these signs to allow law-abiding citizens to protect themselves.
