PHILADELPHIA, PA – Two armed robbers got more than they bargained for when attempting to rob and carjack a pizza delivery driver this past Tuesday,
A 21-year-old pizza delivery driver pulled up to an apartment complex to deliver an order. But once he got out of his vehicle, two masked armed men ordered him back into the vehicle.
The delivery driver managed to exit the vehicle again, and one of the suspects followed him. That’s when the delivery driver drew his concealed carry gun, and a shootout ensued. One of the suspects was hit in the lower back, and the other fled the scene.
The pizza delivery driver sustained no injuries, and the police also stated that he had a valid Pennsylvania concealed carry permit.
Local media interviewed residents in the area, and here are a couple of quotes from them, which I 100% agree with.
“He’s got all the right in the world to defend himself.”
“What do they say, you do stupid stuff, you get stupid prizes!”
There have been numerous defensive gun use incidents involving pizza delivery drivers as of late. If you are a food delivery driver, I think it is imperative to carry a gun for protection and to get training with said gun.
