San Antonio Man Claims He Shot Himself Trying To Escape

Do you think this guy actually got into an altercation or made the entire thing up because I don’t know if I am buying this story?

A 42-year-old San Antonio man claimed he accidentally shot himself last Friday around midnight during an altercation.

According to police, he ran to his car and took out a gun to defend himself because he realized someone had opened fire. That’s when he accidentally shot himself in the leg and then ended up dropping the gun. Then the attacker took the gun and ran off, but no theft was reported.

It sounds like he gave his family conflicting information, initially telling them he shot himself. During the investigation, police found a bullet hole in his car door, but do you think the story sounds a little questionable?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TO ALL NEWS REPORTERS: Please use the correct terminology in the future. In simple terms, an “accidental” shooting means something went mechanically wrong with the gun, ammunition, etc. The correct term in most situations would be “negligent discharge.” Because you negligently fired a gun. From now on, can you please you the correct language?

You can explain it a million times to the mainstream media, but they’ll still get it wrong.
