SAN ANTONIO, TX – Taking matters into your own hands can be extremely dangerous. A Texas man found that out the hard way yesterday afternoon.
Yesterday, a man was shopping at the South Park Mall in San Antonio, TX, when he realized his truck had been stolen. He was able to track his vehicle’s location and saw that it was on the other side of the mall.
He confronted the thieves and found two people in his truck, a male in the driver’s seat and a female in the passenger seat. He called the police and ordered the suspects out of his truck at gunpoint.
But instead of complying, the male suspect drew a gun and shot the man. The victim returned fire hitting both suspects in the vehicle.
The male suspect died, and the female was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. The victim was also treated for his non-life-threatening injuries.
As I mentioned, taking matters into your own hands is extremely dangerous. You have no idea what you are going up against, whether you are armed or not. Luckily, the victim survived, but he easily could have lost his life over a truck, which most likely he had insurance for.
Now I’m wondering if his insurance covers bullet holes.
