Texas Woman Brandishes Gun Over Parking Spot; Gets Sued for $1 Million

A woman is facing a $1,000,000 lawsuit over an incident that took place the day after Thanksgiving, where she brandished a gun.

Police responded to an incident in a Texas grocery store parking lot the day after Thanksgiving. Victims and witnesses told them that a woman had parked behind another vehicle, got out of her car, and pointed a gun at the people inside of the car, including a woman’s six-month-old child. The woman threatened to shoot them over the parking space.

One of the people inside the car recorded the incident and posted it to social media, which police used to track down the suspect. A warrant was issued for her, and she was arrested at her home on Nov. 30.

Now that woman is facing a $1,00,000 lawsuit, according to K3 News.

The lawsuit seeks monetary relief for these damages of more than $250,000, but not to exceed $1 million in compensation. The lawsuit also specifies that the plaintiff wants a jury trial.

After reading some of the comments on the Corpus Christi Police Department’s post, this might not have been the first or the last time this woman has done this.

I don’t think I really need to point out the obvious here, but…don’t do this. We are concealed carriers, need to take that responsibility seriously. Carrying a gun doesn’t mean you get to be a parking lot bully. If you can’t control your anger, you shouldn’t be carrying concealed. And this woman is lucky someone inside the car didn’t have a gun as well, or this could have turned out much different.
