The Defensive Pistol Skills course is an intensive two day course in the defensive skills involved with a concealed pistol. Skills covered are safe gun handling skills based on the StressFire system developed by Massad Ayoob. Drawing rapidly from concealment, speed reloads, the blend of speed and accuracy from close range to intermediate distances, shooting with both Strong Hand Only and Weak Hand Only.

Each student will then perform several shooting drills including safely operating the semi-automatic pistol, stances to improve accuracy, engaging multiple targets, malfunction clearances, grip, the trigger cycle.

Within the Stages of Intervention, this course deals mostly with “Interaction with Suspects”

Round count of 500.

Prior Formal Training is required. MAG-30 is preferred.
