According to an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation news release, an intruder was shot and killed in Bokoshe on Sunday night after allegedly assaulting a person in their home.
The OSBI said Ken Cosgrove, 49, entered a home in Bokoshe, Oklahoma, and assaulted the homeowner. Cosgrove left the house after the initial altercation, then turned around and attempted to finish what he started.
The homeowner had time to retrieve his gun, and when Cosgrove attempted to get back in, the homeowner shot and killed the intruder.
They took the 69-year-old homeowner to a hospital to treat the injuries he sustained during the assault.
The press release said, “The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.” I would hope that none will be because it sounds like self-defense.
Bokoshe is in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma, with a population of around 500 and a whopping 68 students in the entire high school. If this doesn’t prove you never know when you will need your gun, nothing does.
