In a short 6-second video posted to YouTube, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis answered “Of course” when asked if he would sign a constitutional carry bill.
The bill in question, HB 103, would allow those lawfully allowed to own a firearm to carry concealed or open without a Florida Concealed Weapon License. Florida would still issue licenses for concealed carry reciprocity purposes. If passed, Florida would join 21 other states that have passed some type of Constitutional Carry or Permitless Carry law.
HB 103 was filed on 9/15/2021 and is now in Criminal Justice & Public Safety Subcommittee. We will be keeping an eye on this bill.
