The shooting occurred around 7:49 a.m. on Tuesday in the 8200-block of South Commercial Avenue, according to Chicago Police.
Reports from the scene indicate that the teenagers were confronted by the vehicle’s owner, a woman who fired her gun at the youths as they tried to take her SUV. The 13-year-old girl sustained a gunshot wound to the right side of her body and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
