Las Vegas Man Shoots Friend in Head While ‘Playing with Guns’

Las Vegas Man Shoots Friend in Head While ‘Playing with Guns’

This is a tragic story. One man has to deal with the fact that he negligently shot and killed his friend. And that man’s family has to deal with the loss of a loved one that could have been completely prevented. This would never have happened if they followed the four rules of firearm safety as well as not playing with guns while drinking and smoking weed.

Last Thursday, a group of friends were hanging out drinking and smoking weed. Then they decided to play with some guns. Not a good mix. The owner of the firearms “was certain” that the guns were unloaded. So he decided to point one of the guns at his friend and pull the trigger.

Unfortunately, the gun was loaded, fired, and struck his friend in the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene. One member of the group called 911 to report the shooting, and so did the shooter. A police report stated that he “was hysterical and screaming for help. He was heard crying and apologizing to Chris while speaking with the dispatcher.”

While being interviewed by police, the shooter said he doesn’t usually drink, and they “forced him to take shots.” He also said he checked the guns earlier, and they were all unloaded. Well, that either didn’t happen, or they mystically got loaded again.

But none of this would have happened if A, they weren’t playing with guns while drinking and smoking weed, and B if they had followed the 4 Rules of Firearm Safety. It is as simple as that.
