A criminal was looking to make some quick cash by robbing a Family Dollar but got more than he bargained for last Thursday.
A man entered a Family Dollar around 5 PM this past Thursday and attempted to steal cash from a cash register with what appeared to be a gun tucked under his shirt. A store employee saw what was going down and shot the suspect, hitting him in the leg.
The suspect fled the scene but was later found by police after a K-9 dog bit him while he was trying to escape arrest.
